Community

Over the past several years, the members of the Morrisvale VFD have been actively remodeling the "old Woodville Grade School" for use as a sub-station and for the use of the community in several different roles. Currently, the fire department portion of the sub-station is up and running. We're currently providing services to both Lincoln and Boone Counties out of the sub-station. This effectively decreases response times and increases our abilities to provide better overall response to the community. We've added a computer lab and we're working to also incorporate a medical care clinic into the facility. With the additional training room, fire fighters have a place to receive up-to-date training on a variety of subjects, including online training offered by WVU's Fire Service Extension and RESA's fire service training.

We would like to invite the public to stop by the station during meeting nights or whenever you find a fire fighter working around the station to check out our new addition.
